A disagreement has to begin with opposing parties, so I guess from a neutral perspective, there have been some insults from both French and Italian fans. However, from the way I see it, there seems to be a lot more hatred coming from those whom repeatedly bash Italians no matter how many times there is a peace agreement. Thankfully, the situation hasn't been so serious lately, but it's still going on.
And I agree, even if the French team lost, a silver medal is always better than nothing. =)

I don't really know why as I am not a French.But I think both French people and Italians bash each other.I don't think it is fair to completely place the blame on French people as there are also several Italians who bash French people.Whatever it is,just be thankful that you guys got to the finals.Netherlands (my country) didn't reach the final and yet I'm fine with that as I know that they had done their very best.

When you have been here a little longer you will see that neither one has the monopoly on the other. Most, and I say most are really just to get a rise out of each other. There are those that sometimes go too far but they are not really from the respectful users anyway. And it is not defined by or exclusive to those nations or supporters. Many insults about many nations and fans have been noted her, but things have settled quite a bit. In the end we are all here because we love the sport.
