I don't want to alarm you but I bought a chevy equinox last year and it is a lemon. I'm sure yours isno't but my advice is to know everything about your car. From my research I have found that Chevy had the most Service Bulletins in the past couple of years then any other brand. Go to NHTSA and look at bulletins for your car and read any complaints that may have been filed by consumers with the same vehicle.
Knowledge is power!! I know my mind is tainted due to my bad luck with my 1st Chevy but I have found that GM makes some cars pretty crappy. Hopefully not the Malibu since it has been out for awhile. I will say the Impala is nicely made (that's my loaner car).

its a pretty good car & gets decent milage I got one for my wife do oil changes every 3,000 miles and have transmission serviced every 40,000 miles rotate your tires every 5-6,000 miles...
