The short answer: yes.
The long answer; it is hard to have intercourse 2 weeks after birth, in fact it is discouraged b/c you can tear and because there is still a lot of healing down there that needs to go on. Same if you had a c-section (the stomach area needs to heal).

Your CERVIX is not yet closed all the way and by having sex too soon, can introduce BACTERIA into your uterus and cause severe infections; that is why they tell you to wait.

Some other thing you need to consider, usually doctors will ask you about before leaving the hospital for your baby is what birth control do you plan on using? You should go see your doc asap and get on something unless you are planning to get pregnant if you are...then disregard.

Doctors recommend a woman waits a year after giving birth to get pregnant again. No, not all women do that obviously, but it's because the woman goes through a lot more than you know and needs to recover.

Absolutely! A woman is most fertile right after she gives birth. You might not have a period for a few weeks, but you can easily get pregnant.

Most doctors recommend waiting to have sex until after the first post-partum visit, just to make sure that any lesions or others things have healed properly after birth. That is usually the appointment where you discuss what birth control method you might want to use now that you had your baby.

If you felt the desire to have sex and it was not painful, and it was an enjoyable experience, no problem! It is or was possible to get pregnant though and very difficult on a woman's body to get pregnant again so soon.

I know I girl who was 3 weeks pregnant when she went for her 6 weks check up. I wouldn't risk it if I did not have a lot of money to go on maternity leave 10 months after coming back from maternity leave.

Yes. My hubby's aunt had 5 boys in 5 years. Every 6 week check up she went to she found out she was pregnant again. The only reason she stopped at 5 was because her uterus couldn't take it anymore and fell out. Good luck.

No, because the lining of your uterus is still shedding. You can get pregnant as soon as you start having regular periods (about 4 weeks after giving birth) and even when you are breastfeeding. As long as you ovulate you can do it.

You can. My friend got pregnant a couple weeks after delivery and she was breastfeeding. Do not stress. Everything happens the way it is meant to. Take care and enjoy your new bundle of joy!!!

OH LORD YES !!!! That very thing just happened to a friend of mine. The one thing that might work in your favor is if you're breastfeeding. It's not a guarantee, but many times women who breastfeed do not ovulate because their bodies prevent it.

Yes you can! PLENTY of women go back for their 6 week checkup to find out that they are going to have to be back in a month for their next OB appointment. :) They're called Irish Twins, kids 12 months or less apart.
