i could type properly with proper capitalization and such and proper punctuation, but the fact of the matter is i don't feel like it and most younger people realize this and don't give a flip. Mistyping is not a show of ones right to ask a question. But when that is your only comeback that is a show of your's.

I am 55 years old and i accept peoples questions whether they are typed well or not .I type with one finger and of course am slow sometimes questions are asked by people with little or no english or using text language which some of I dont understand and some mean other things in other countries like lol it has quite a few meanings here I use to think it ment only lots of love but my son taught me other meanings .You seem like an intelligent person I give you one I just learnt it offends people who know the answer but this is just to get you guessing not to mean what it says "DILLIGAF"so please dont take offence at it .Intelligence does not make a person there are many characteristics that make up a person to be a whole person Most inteligent people have had the luck to be taught that way by some proffersor and they pass that down to supposable help others but at my age you know more truth that being intelligent is not the most important thing in life .Anyway have said enough for now have a nice day it was a good question and I enjoyed answering you .So to put your mind at rest dilliagaf means "do i look like i give a f***"Cheers .

So what is the real problem here, your spelling, punctuation or are you angry that someone called you on an obvious lack of attention to detail, knowledge of grammar etc. I agree that minor mistyping is an understandable error but your reaction is a bit over the top, age has nothing to do with it, fact is people will judge you by your use of language, sorry, that is the real world, no use being upset over it. If one person calls you on your spelling, oh well, you made a mistake, everyone does at one time or another.

Spell check doesn't always work either...don't sweat the small stuff. Those who point out such errors probably do so because it makes them feel superior, ( They think they are smarter) I promise I won't grade/ judge you on your spelling and punctuation.... as long as you are nice and respect everyone right to disagree. :) Age is not relevant in measuring ignorance or intelligence often it is a kind heart that scores the highest points!Take the high road...there is no need to take offense.

I always try to do my best and type properly and spell correctly as that is just what is right. We in the US are not the only ones here and many from India and other places practice their English here and if we point out mistakes nicely, that helps them. I also hate the haters whose only thought is someone mis - typed. So what, we are here for the community, the knowledge, and the fun. How you type or phrase or spell is not really important. But for the foreign members and the really young kids here., being nice in pointing out mistakes should be OK.

I hear they let you kids estimate in math too, and you wonder why we never went back to the moon.

P.S. It is a show of your what, right to ask a question? Who is asking a question? Bad grammar just makes it hard to guess what you are talking about.

Try telling that to an English teacher...
If you wrote like that in a college writing course, your professor would laugh at you and you would not get a 4.0 or the chance for your paper to be published in a journal. .

Also, when people use IMing language and abbreviations when asking questions, it shows me that you haven't been taught grammar and spelling and you're lazy. If only you could spend 2 more seconds typing everything out instead of me taking 10 minutes to decipher what you've typed, it would be a lot easier for me to understand what you are saying.

Seriously. I don't have problems spelling, but when I run across those comments, I just wonder. It's funny, really.

Uh, sounds like you've been criticized for that? Your question pretty much proves their point.
