St. Johns wort does not affect the female hormone system. What you have to be careful of is taking St. Johns wort (used for sun deprivation mood problems) with drugs like Paxil. St. Johns Wort affects the seratonin in your brain to lessen depression.

Yes it does. It can also make you spot in between menses (I speak from experience). Unfortunately, you should not combine the two.
