Of course they know their going to die. Why do you think they spend so much time trying to avoid predators? You obviously didn't put a lot of thought into this. Animals are more aware of danger and it's results than humans. We are the only creatures on the planet who intentionally participate in dangerous activities in the name of "fun". And what's the first thing that's said after a death "Oh, we never thought it would happen to us!".

I love animals, but I believe they have some concept of death, and their instinct is to avoid it, as someone has pointed out already.
In general, animals are not nearly as vicious as human beings, so yes in many ways they are better than us, despite our having larger brains.
It's disgusting and criminal the way animals are used so cruelly - for experiments that cause them so much pain and suffering, existing in unimaginably cruel circumstances on factory farms before ending up on someones dinner table.

People are animals too, dobbs. try to be friendly to them and they won't bite your areas that are private to the public ok. What about flys? They dont know when i will kill them or maybe i'll be nice like jesus and let them live. That sounds good to me, puto. don't make it a big deal, that's just a female dog, and they don't know when they are going to die niether

animals are better in senses, they can sense if someone will gone or sick, meaning, if you show you love and care for them (animals, whether its a dog or cat)they will pay you back by offering their own lives. it happens to me. i have nine dogs, and my favorite dog name debbie, she died when im serious in the hospital. i dont think its coincidence. i truly believe animals are gifted in their own nature.

Thank goodness for that because I don't want my beautiful old golden retriever to have to worry about that like we do.

But they can still know fear. And a lot of them lick their own testicles.
