I wouldn't kiss my kids on the lips, but that is just a societal convention. The only reason why people consider it weird and nasty is because society has taught them that. It is quite normal in other countries and within different cultural groups.

As there is nothing sexual about it, it should not bother you in a sexual way.

We need a certain amount of repressed sexuality. Or some of us think so. But in our house my dad kissed us all on the mouth from time to time. It was mostly when we were younger. My mom told him to cool it once I was seven. I think as an adult the experience has made me more open minded.

I wasn't raised in a house like that, but many are and it is totally normal. When kids kiss, they don't think of sex. To kiss your children like that is totally fine. It's not like their making out, it's just an affectionate peck. Anyway, I think it is totally appropriate and is very normal... even though I was raised like that. I think it is harmful for people to place their perverse judgments on a very innocent situation like this one.

Yes, it's OK for a father to kiss his kids (including his sons). It shows that he loves them.

There is an inappropriate time for that if they are older(mature physical), I have that problem now that my oldest is a teenager, I noticed he is uncomfortable and found out ,now that he is aware of me physical, it is uncomfortable for him to receive hugs in the front. So now I give him hugs from the side. It all depends what the intention is and if the child is uncomfortable.

I do not see a thing wrong with it. It may not be for you, but-----the way you do things isn't always the way it is.
