Absolutely!! Every child deserves to know love and security. Not mention how fulfilled you feel knowing that you are giving love and life to the most innocent.

Depends on the situation. Are you trying to put up a child for adoption because you cannot care for it? Or were you adopted?

I am an adopted child, and know that it was the best thing that could have happened for me. I have had a wonderful life, with many things I would not have had if my birth mother had not put me up for adoption.

It is a really good concept, but the process is really hard here in America to do (which does not make any sense for me). I think this process should be easier to go through, and if this is the case, I think more kids would be adopted in the US.

I really want to adopt kids someday, it really provides that child one more chance to feel loved and a chance to really succeed.

I think adoption is a wonderful thing, whether it is a baby or an older child. It's giving a child a loving, caring home. My husband and I have decided to adopt when our own children are a bit older.

i dont see how adopting kids could be seen as bad unless the adoptive parents can not handle the responsibility. Adopting children that their natural parents can not take care of is noble and not given enough credit (neither is choosing to give up children rather then aborting them)

There are a lot of things to factor in in this decision:

1. Are doing this alone or with your husband?
2. Can you afford this? (Legal fees, cost of rearing a child: school/health/etc)
3. Are you physically, mentally and spiritually able to raise a child?
4. Is your spouse supportive of this choice?

If you can answer YES to ALL of these questions, then adoption is a good choice.

Talk all of this over with your husband, family, friends and your spiritual leader (priest, rabbi, etc) , and of course, also with God.

My nephew is adopted...we got him shortly (within days) after he was born. That was in 1980...he's grown (goofy as hell), but he's been a great addition to our family and I couldn't be prouder of him. (Most say he's me in the opposite sex...that's scary)!

BTW...he's known since he was about 6 or 7 that he is adopted and doesn't care.

God bless you

yes it great
but here is the problem here latley when i here about someone adopting children they are going to different countries
ok it may be easier but come on people there ar hundred upon thousands of american children that need homes to and i belive they are the ones that american familes should adopt also so many people want little babies when older children get left behind and that comes from the adults thinking more about thier needs insted of the needs of older orfin children

Of course. More people need to learn how to give and give back instead of worrying about themselves.

I actually plan on adopting when i grown up!

yes its awesome. i have an adopted little brother and i love him sooo much! we started fostering him when he was two days old, the mom was a prostitute and drank when she was pregnant. if the people are bad parents... its good to adopt their child.
