Apart from garlic, holy water and crosses, what else can someone use to fight evilspirits/ghosts/spectres etc?

Hanging Hemlock bouqets on either side of window and doors can sometimes work. I've lived in a house where we found this. I was young enough then that I didn't know what it was used for. My mother took it all down. Boy, WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!!

This is a recipe I came up with through the last few years by researching both the Native American and Celtic Tribes of ancient times.

White Sage
Sweet Grass
Cedar (Red or "Flat" cedar)
Lavender Blossoms (closed)

Using a mortar and pestle, I grind each ingredient into a sort of "loose" incense. For the Sweet Grass, I use scissors to cut it into very tiny pieces.

Then I mix them all together and "smudge" them on a bit of sea salt lining the bottom of a glass ash tray. I use clear glass because colors have different meanings the Metaphysical World. Sea salt also "soaks up" negative energies and dissipates it. It also keeps spirits from crossing window sills and doorways when sprinkled across them. I've also mixed a strong solution of sea salt water with rose oil in it to soak up the negative energies and invite positive ones.

My roomie was watching TV yesterday Oct. 29 and there were some people on there anointing each corner of the property with Olive oil and then smudging some White Sage and Sweet Grass as they anointed the property.

There are SO many different ways to achieve the results you are asking for. You can find out different ways of doing this by researching the net or finding your local Metaphysical "Book Shop" and asking there.

My oh my how you are going to be attacked, how did you ever buy into that crap?!

Here, garlic does nothing whatsoever, holy water is only water and the mumblings of a cleric; trust me those mumblings don't do anything for the water. Also crosses and crucifixes ATTRACT dark sided entities and disincarnates, they do not repel.

P.S. Yes, someone is correct about smudging with sage. It will clear the aura and dispel negative energies about a person and room. Still that is only the start.

Advice: Get rid of all crosses and toss the holy water. Use gold light as a protective shield, wear black tourmaline in your left pocket and about your neck if you would like. You can wrap the tourmaline in silver for protection but do not pierce the stone.

Also, moving over running water will get rid of a determined attack and there are particular psychic protocols you should look into...but I'll leave that to you to experience, I'm not going to do all the work. Investigate.

So, get rid of the crap that is useless and attracts these entities and get some practical psychic defense data.

Actually, garlic, holy water & crosses are suppsoed to only fight vampires. Of course vampire stories are a work of fiction hence making the above mentioned useless against evil spirits and ghosts.

The world of ghosts and spirits is very mysterious. Commoners do not know much about it. Ghosts and evil spirits are however known to be vulerable to prayers, but not any old prayer. You either have to use the bible or Quran. The words of god are the only effective weapon against spirits.

Identifying the type of spirit is crucial in selecting the appropriate fighting tool. That is why exorcism is often used on people, by a man of god, usually a priest. In certain cases Jinn is the evil spirit and fighting it requires an Islamic sheikh.

First off, you don't need to fight ghosts, they truly don't harm the living. Second, how did you get evil spirits/spectres, etc. in your house? Is this new? Are you practicing without supervision and turned to the left hand path? I need some answers, but in general, I use a smudge stick and burn it throughout the house, starting in the far corner of one room and moving throughout the house, sending the negative energy out. Then I use sage boughs or sage oil to 'seal' the doors and windows, to keep out evil. Be vigiliant and NO MORE CALLING UP DEMONS!!! Please stop whatever you are doing and find someone who knows how to use the right hand path. If this is for a story, for heaven's sake tell us that in the question so we don't all worry about you!
