Superhero Dictionary?

Question

I've seen one at the book store, but is this only the known superheros? Or all the superheros, even those which did not last long?

I own the Encyclopedia of Super Heroes (by Jeff Rovin, 1986, Facts on file Publications.) It has hundreds upon hundreds of entries. It's a very useful reference.

You can also look things up on Toonopedia, which lists most of the superheroes, even the obscure ones. It describes their powers and origins, and tells who created them and in which magazines or newspapers they appeared. Try it, I think you will be favorably impressed. It also covers funny animals and non-super hero comic strips, too.

You can to wikipedia and check out superheroes and then go on from there to the links. You could also go to the major comic companies i.e. Marvel, Dc and Image and then go on from there.
