As far as I know most monitors are pretty universal. You might need some kind of different cable but anything you buy should be compatible with your computer. Just to be on the safe side though take the name of your model to the store and ask.

You can...But if you buy some of the older versions, the resolution may not be supported. Also, the monitor may require a special driver (should be able to download from the internet somewhere). You can buy any monitor that you like.

For the most part, you can hook any monitor onto any computer. You may need to reset a few things in your computer settings, but pretty much they are inter-compatible.

Yes, any brand monitor is okay. Check with the store where you plan to buy and they will help you pick one out.

Hope that helps.

yes.as long as it has 3 rows of pins on the end that plugs into your computer your fine.i get 17 inch monitors at thrift stores usually $5.00-$10.00.better then spending hundreds for new.and they last forever.or you could buy new.if you got that kind of money.
