Its not accually an aquariam but im moving my small guppy into a large (1 gal) tupperware container because theo other fish are nipping at it and also its not full grown so i feel like the filter might suck its tail in. So what I need to know is how often should I clean it because it wont have a filter and also what else should I do to modify it and make sure there is enough oxygen in the water

I wouldn't recomend the tuperware tank. You should take a trip down to your local fish store and purchase a small tank. A lot of the time they come with everything you need...tank, top, lights. A filter might be separate. You should certainly have a "hospital tank" at hand if you do have fish. You should always have a filter and the proper environment for any breed in any condition. If your fish is unhealthy, I don't think dumping it in an unstable enviornment will help...most likely...will kill the fish. Sorry, Good Luck!

Tupperware containers really aren't a good idea, without a filtration and/or oxygenation system in place, as the water will become stagnant and kill the fish. It'd be better to just give your guppy its own portion of the tank by inserting a tank divider. There are tank dividers that are sold at places like Petco and Petsmart. Or you can easily (and inexpensively) make one.

Instead of moving it into a tupperware and probably killing it, why dont you get a box for fry? These are transparent boxes that float in the aquarium and while your fish enjoys oxugenated water it is safe from other fishes. There is also a box shaped net to do that. They are quite cheap anyway. It is the temperature that could also harm your fish let alone the stress.

I have had a few fish, and I cleaned the fishbowl out once or twice a week. If the bowl has an open top, don't worry about the fish getting enough oxygen. If you have a cat, but a wire mesh over the top, and it will still get enough air.
