3 days. As with any contract, you have 72 hours to change your mind. Guess you're having an episode of buyer's remorse. Sorry to hear that, but I think you've gone far enough that you will actually have to file for a divorce.

If you live in the U.S., the laws regarding annulment vary from state to state, so check the laws in your state, but I’m not aware of any state where you can get an annulment based on ‘short-term marriage’ or just because ‘you changed your mind’. As far as ‘failure to consummate’ in many states (maybe even most states) that is not grounds for annulment. Grounds for annulment are generally things such as entering into the marriage under force or duress. Talk to an attorney. Unless there’s something you haven’t mentioned, you’ll likely have to get a divorce. Next time BE SURE before you say "I do".

Been there... you need to get an annulment and a new living situation. You have six months to file an annulment and you have to think of a legitimate reason to be getting an annulment. The courts do not accept "oops" trust m if you say you made a mistake you will have to file a divorce and be divorced the rest of your life. It would be so much better to get an annulment at least then you could say "yeah I was married but it was annulled."

Ps if you have any joint accounts, life insurance, cars property separate or hide them asp. "you marry one person but you divorce a completely DIFFERENT one."

Good luck!

Talk to an attorney immediately...free consultation is possible, separate yourself from any possible harm, get the marriage nullified tomorrow if you can. It's not tough at all. Just remember to protect yourself and stay with family if you can. I'm sure you can find safe ground where you can work things out.

If you are seriously unhappy, then you need to get out of this marriage as soon as possible. There is no sense in wasting time--call the local courthouse to ask about an anullment.
Peace

It's called an annulment. Go to the courthouse in the county you got your marriage license. Ask for the annulment package.

for an annulment its 6 months or less without consumating the marriage-which I dont know how they would prove.I really dont think you'd be stuck in the marriage after 3 weeks, and not to lecture but please make a more informed decision next time as your wrecking the name of committment.

Has all the paperwork already been filed with and processed by your county government office? If you haven't gotten your notarized marriage certificate back yet, try calling your county administrator's office and ask them not to process the paperwork.

If the paperwork is already done, then it's time to look into annulment.

Good luck!

in most cases annulment only works if you have not been intimate, have not had sex. If you have, a divorce. You just need to be a legal resident of where ever you are. lived there a month some places lived there 6 months

There is no time limit for an annulment, but you must have grounds. If not, then you must divorce irregardless of the short time of the marriage.
