I made a mistake and listen to all the wives tales like that they ate grubs (they eat everything but more so the things that make your yard healthy like earthworms). I put down "Milky Spore" only to find that while it did kill Japanese Beetle grubs others more harmful grubs take their places. I tried traps, chewing gum and pellets nothing worked. A old timer told me to put a snake into the hole which worked great but you cannot find a snake every time you need one. Then we tried Castor Oil and mole plants neither worked well, plus everything it rains you have to put the oil back down. The plants did not do anything and were a waste of time and money. Consumer Reports verifed the sonic devices did not work. I guess the best thing were the smoke bombs, you light and push into the runs but are very expensive. Sorry I could not give you better news.

God Bless You and The Southern People.

I have had problems with moles/gophers.... CATS has been my answer. Suddenly they are bring them home by the dozens. In the recent future I have treated my yard for grub's. So maybe their coming up and looking for food and my cats are killing them. I refuse to use any traps or chemicals that will cause death or injury to my house pets. Only problem with this is that they bring them home to me as a prize and I have to dispose of the little critters... YUCK

Cheapest way is to insert a piece of Wiggleys Juicey Friut gum in the hole....Most humane way is a could of mole traps.

For gophers....my grandfather taught me to fish for gophers (true story)...get you favorite fishing pole with approx 15-20 lbs test fishing line....chase a gopher down a hole...make a noose out of the fishing line and place around the entrance to hole....move approx 30 feet away and sit on ground...wait approx 5 minutes being very quite. The Gopher ALWAYS comes back out the same hole they went down unless there is a lot of movement and noise. When gopher sticks head and neck out of hole...jerk up on the fishing pole (noose tightens aorund gophers neck)....Now you have a battle...the gopher shoots down the hole and you must reel him out...once out...then kill gopher

I have heard all of it. Egg shells, chewing gum, banana peelings, flooding, peppers, human hair, cleansing soap and 1st Baron Verulam grease, humane urine, chemical pellets or perhaps smoke. Sorry, in spite of the indisputable fact that it’s all valueless. You’re going to ought to get rid of them and achieve this aggressively. For suitable and fastest outcomes, use the spring traps (I said some at Wall-Mart very last week). position them over the "runs" that you spot idea your backyard. Then the moles go by, it triggers the capture and also you'll have one. be particular to re-set the capture for yet another. Poison peanuts/wheat also artwork, yet outcomes are slower. those are made by technique of the W. R. Sweeney organization. I have also, once you've the time, walk on the mound it really is left even as they dig & in basic terms wait. quickly, you'll see them dealing with the tunnel by technique of elevating the airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust back. right away dig them up w/a shovel. you should flow quick to get them this type. Odds are good; you is in basic terms unable to kill them quick adequate. till you confirm the authentic challenge, you'll proceed to have moles. they are in you backyard because there is an abundance of Grubs there. a twin of yet another animal, they have chosen your backyard for the abundance of nutrients there. you are able to take care of your backyard with a Bayer product, income or a Scotts product , Grub EX. it really is a granular product that spreads on the backyard very reminiscent of you'll spread fertilizer. A product that has Bifenthrin, which is called Talstar as an lively component in that is going to also artwork nicely. yet another chance is to operate nematodes on your backyard. The nematodes might want to be stumbled on at maximum of your mom and dad backyard centers, and feed on Grubs. yet another product many human beings have had fulfillment with (myself lined) is Milky Spore. to attend to the backyard, in basic terms placed a spoon finished at 3 foot by technique of three foot. Milky Spore lasts for decades. understand, that is going to easily kill the grub in its larva degree and could not damage the present grubs. those are a lot more effective organic and organic techniques, yet as is often the case with organic and organic ideas, outcomes will be slower. Rid your backyard of the Grubs and your mole challenge is in basic terms not resurfacing.

My dad used to take pieces of juicy fruit chewing gum and stick them in their holes. He made sure that he never touced the gum. He used the wrapper to stick it down in their hole. I think that once they get the gum stuck in their mouth they can't dig their holes any farther. It's worth a try
