LISTEN your fish still can be saved trust me my fish had the same problem, it has a condition called swimbladder, basicly its a common problem for cold water fish, what you do is take it out, put it in a bowl with fresh water, hold it up right cause if your fish swims upside down then it will lose all fight to live, it could take a good few hours though, lift it out of the water once in while for a few secs to shock its system (so it can wake up), also you will need to get the the pet shop quick and buy swimbladder treatment. This is 95% effective.

Sounds like swimbladder to me. May be able to treat it with swimbladder medication from a pet store. If you do end up putting it out of its misery, don't flush it until it's really dead! You can dissolve clove oil in a glass of water, put the fish in, and it will go to sleep. Then have ice water ready, once unconscious put it in and leave it in the freezer for a while. The clove oil eliminates the pain from the ice crystals forming, but the ice is what actually kills it. When yo're all done, THEN you can flush it.

Be kind take it out of the tank and wrap it in newspaper and hit it swiftly on the head with something heavy. Cruel No! Kind yes! It has a problem with it's buoyancy bladder and will eventually die.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But I have had fish before and this is the only way to treat your fish humanely.
Get someone to do it for you you if you cannot bring yourself to do it.

That fish is about to die. Its bladder that controls bouyancy is damged from lack of brain activity and blood flow. Its is about to die, and there is no saving it. Put it out of its misery by taking firecrackers and lighting them and dropping them into the aquarium until one pops close enough to crush its delicate spine.

If you bought it in the last 7 days from a pet shop - take it back and ask for your money back - re: law on goods and services.

Yes, it is probably swimbladder. With my bettas I isolate them and don't feed them for a day or so and it tends to clears up on its own. Swimbladder is brought on by over feeding and don't worry it's not contagious for your ther fish
