in the sense of hollywood movies like the craft, and te shows like Charmed. NO.

in the sense of an earth based religion or manipulation of natural energies. yes.

it is more of a spiritual path. you are not going to get visible effects like changing the color of your eyes or hair, or direct effects against another person.

what you will get is a way to learn to live in harmony with the earth and remove negative influence from your life so that you can be happier liveing it.

Yes, magick is real and it works. However, you shouldn't believe that it is anything like you see in the movies and on television. It would be nice to be able to clean my house with a twitch of my nose, or levitate and kick the bad guys' butts with my telekinesis, but sadly, it doesn't work that way. You will never see a witch wave his or her hand and change the world.

Magick is subtle. When we weave magick, we influence change, we don't force it. The Christians are fond of saying, "God helps those who help themselves." Well, the same applies to magickal workings. You can do magick all day long, but if you don't put forth and effort towards obtaining your goal, it won't mean much.

For example, let's say I wanted a new job. I work a ritual to help me secure a new and better job than the one I have. Now, if I just sit at home and wait for someone to contact me, I'm going to be sitting for a long while. I have to go out and apply for positions, and advertise myself. Only then can the magick begin to do its work.

When we work magick, we aren't making things happen, we're just helping fate nudge the results to our favor.

Now some people will say, "If magick really worked, why aren't witches winning the lottery all the time?"

Two reasons. First and foremost, because we have a little thing called the Rule of Three. The Rule of Three states that whatever you do, for good or ill, will be revisited thrice upon you. Using magick for personal gain is a no-no! All kinds of bad karma there!

Second, because the gods still control things, and they may not want us to have the money (for whatever reason). That isn't to say that the gods are cruel and heartless, mind you. Witches ask for money all the time, but we don't ask for more than what we need. When I cast money spells, I never say, "Please send me a billion dollars." Instead, I say, "Please let my needs be met."

I've used magick to secure a loan, to get money to help pay an outstanding bill, to find a house, to heal friends who were suffering and in pain, and to give me a little boost when I needed it. Christians call it prayer; we call it magick. But when you think about it, are we really that different?

Yes, it's real. Think of it like harnessing lightning to make electricity. The results are clearly evident in 2006, but not in the late 1700's. Do you see what I am getting at?

Yes people can do magick, but not like harry potter or sabrina, or even Charmed.
Magick is more of a way of thinking, acting and using natural energies around us to HELP achive what we are seeking. Many use tools durring spells to help achive results, but the most important tool is yourself- your thoughts, emotions, willpower, and state of mind. But if you just do spells, and dont work towards the goal you have set, you wont get results - You can do spells for a job all you want, but if you dont get off the couch and fill out applications, dont expect one to fall in your lap.

Wicca is very real. But there is much more to it than Spells. Wicca is a way of life, and of thinking. Their are many who practice it in their daily lives. You are welcome to vist the following sites if you wish to learn more.
