I know of this grand father who is a registered sex offender, he's not aloud to be around any child under the age of 18, but, the courts are letting him live in the home with his 50 year old mentally disabled daughter. Is this right, or is there something wrong with this picture? Note: he have raped his 4 daughters without being caught and he raped his grand daughter and his mentally disabled daughter a few years back and he was found guilty for raping his grand daughter and convicted and sentenced 5 years in prison. He has to register as a sex offender. I'm confused! is it wrong for him to recide in the home with his mentally disabled, is the system failing her? someone please answer me!

It's amazing how the system works. I think the guy should still be in jail. I absolutely think he should NOT be with his daughter. If you know these things for sure then you should call social services and bring this to someones attention. If they don't do anything call anyone you can think of to get this man away from his daughter. Un-freaking-believable. I personally believe he should have his hands, feet and b*lls cut off.

I would think so. Call the local DSS or social services, even Dept of Mental Retardation and report the situation. It can be done anonymously.

The "system" has definitely failed. Do you know the family well enough to try to get something done? Like calling in a welfare group.
