Being a novice, I have bought Pleomax 8xDVD+R disks to put photos on, have i bought the wrong type of disk?. Could you suggest the right type if i have made a horrible mistake?!

No no those discs wil be fine, if you're using a pc then you need a copy of Nero or the like, if you're using a mac burning software is built in.

Only thing i would say is that DVD-R discs tend to be slightly cheaper and if you're using them for data (or photos) do exactly the same thing. DVD+R discs tend to be used in DVD recorders for tv but will still work fine for data.

So no, not a horrible mistake :)

Many programs support burning DVD's. Find one by asking at the local tech store. Nero is the one I use. You can make videos with transitions and titles on many of them. some also allow you to add music.

yes you can but ur need burning software to use *DVD+R*
something like nero or sonic dvd .software

yes you can, and they hold more information, higher resolution pics.. good stuff.
