You have worked hard and you deserve to do your best at presenting it to the class. So they can see what you've done, you only fail if you quit on it now. Go the distance, what, you don't think that they are all nervous to get up there? Don't let anyone tell you they're not. Once you get up there and start, consent rate on your project , what and how you done it ,and it will be over before you know it. You will feel relieved after wards and They can't say anything if you try, but they will be all over you if you give up.They say to picture everyone in their underwear, but I was always more afraid of the ones who don't have any on.Good Luck you'll be great !

BREATHE! :o)

When I was in 9th grade, I tried out and beat over 30 girls for a lead role in a play. I had an understudy. Everything was just fine until the dress rehearsal when they set up a camera to videotape it. I FROZE and forgot all my lines! It was humiliating and horrifying. The instructor took the role from me and the understudy did the performance for the public. I felt horrible and embarrassed!

Years later, I was asked to step out and sing in church, teach in front of a group, etc. The more I did it, the easier it got. I'm no longer afraid of it and can do very well.

What I now know::::::: Even if I do mess up, and even get laughed at .... the world is not going to end! The people I was in school with back then are no longer even a part of my life. It was a short phase and I got over it.

This link is to a group that teaches public speaking, leadership, etc. They are WONDERFUL! See if there is a local group and discuss joining with your parents. I'm sure that if you get more experience, you will gain confidence in yourelf. Experience with this group is good on a resume too! And they are very supportive of people who have stage fright.

Dress well for the presentation. Put your best foot forward. Believe in yourself. I'd love to have you e-mail me and tell me how it went. newbiegranny@yahool.ca (not .com)

YOU CAN DO IT!

Well to be honest unless you have a medical reason as to why you can't do this, umm for example, your blood pressure rises and you pass out do to some rare known chemical based herpes virus, you might want to seriously start talking to yourself in a mirror, and calm down. This is only practice for when you later on in life have to give a whole presentation with 10 minutes to prepare. I wish i could tell you it was easy getting over my state fright, I don't know how old you are but let me just say that I pee'd my pants six times giving presentations. I was 15 the last time I did it. Amazingly now, I have performed in 13 local broadway shows and go to highschools to give lectures about 4 times a year. It takes time but you have to take the first step, it wasn't easy being the kid who peed his pants when he got nervous- just be glad you weren't me.

This is a very common fear, i think that like 1/2 of the US has it.
Anyway, start practiceing in front of a mirror or something. I know htats kinda what everyone, but it DOES help. Then like practice in front of a pet, or a parent. Once thats comfortable, try it in front of some friends. U don't have time now, so just skip the mirror part, and start w/ in front of parents/pets.
When you present it in front of a class, just forget that peoples are watching you and just consentrate on the project your talking about.
IF that doesn't help, try looking at JUST your friends or people your comfortable w/ talking in front of. Ask some peole that you know to sit in like the front of the back so that you can see them and won't be nervous.

The main thing to remeber is to just RELAX. B4 the day of the Presentation, do like something fun that u like, or just relax w/ a nap or something.
Like you said, your teachers nice, so if u tell her that your nervous about it, but u still go up, she'll support you and u might feel more comfortable.

Well, I'm sorry, that's exactly what'll I'm going to have to tell you. When you get a job later and you have to do a presentation for a client. Can you tell your boss that you won't do and they will let you off the hook? I think not. Get used to it. Your going to have a lot of these issues as you grow older. So grow up. You don't just do things you want to do, you sometimes have to do things you don't want to do too. That's life! Look, there are actually a lot of things that you may not want to do. You may not want to do your homework, tidy your room, listen to your mom, but guess what? You've got to do it! I have stage fright too, but I'm not going to be like you and fling off half the marks. I suffered through that, and so will and can you! Anyway, good luck! I hope you can make a wise decision and that you survive through it!

I'm the same way. But I do it anyway. When I get up there I start to blush and Idk why because it's not anything emberassing. Also I get sorta sweaty or something. People are like oh look she's blushing. A bit emberassing, but I try to go along with it. My advice to you is to practice in front of the mirror, or maybe there's a way you can imagine that no one is looking at you? Just a suggestion. Oh and also when I do my presentation I look at the teacher not the students. Hope this helps.

hey i hate being in front of ppl too. but today i had to present mi science project n i was frecked out.

but it came out well

if just pretend no1 else in in the room
or look at the teacher the whole time but sumtimes look around with eye contact
dont laugh or it'll mess u up
rite b4 the presentation close ur eyes, take deep breaths n say
im doing it, im doing it, im doing it
wen ur up there evry1 has eyes on u. speak clearly and loud
practice in front of the mirror if u hav to
wen u hav the nerve to go up there. ur already half way done.

You could record yourself doing the presentation at home if you have a video camera and then play it for your class at school. Or you could do a powerpoint presentation. That way everyone will be looking at the screen rather than at you.
