i can't believe it too! i thought they were going in those relationships that would last forever. i hope that they aren't actually getting a divorce and that they are just getting a seperation. this must be so hard on the kids. and what happens if ryan is actually nominated for an oscar for his role in Flags of our fathers. Reese is going to have to say his name because she has to present the award since she was the latest oscar winner.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have separated after seven years of marriage, PEOPLE has confirmed.
"We are saddened to announce that Reese and Ryan have decided to formally separate," a rep for the couple said in a statement released Monday. "They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time." TMZ.com first reported the couple's split.
Witherspoon, 30, and Phillippe, 32, have two children, daughter Ava, 7, and son Deacon, 3.

I dont know why they are!they look like such a cute couple!
supposedly theyve been on the red carpet together recently and were asked whether theyre going to appear in a film together in the next few years, ryan said who knows. There was no indication that they were going to split up.
It looks like its come out of nowhere. Its a DAMN shame!!!!!

They have issued a statement saying that they are separating. They met 7 years ago at Reese's 21st birthday party. Shame that they can't make it work, they were such a good couple.
