If you were going to give out "tricks" instead of treats on Halloween, what would you give?

Once my niece and her friends, all around 12 at the time were out trick or treating. She told them all that her aunt and uncle had really big candy bars which was true. However, when they got to our door we reacted very excited to see everyone and raved about their costumes while putting their "treats" in their bags. The treats were plastic baggies filled with cooked rice. When we closed the door they all searched their bags for the treats, you should have heard the screaming and door banging that went on afterwords. Another time, my husband dressed up as an old man, a father and young son came to the door and my husband said "just hold on there young man, I'll go see if I can find something to give you." He walked into the kitchen and picked up a stew pot that was on the stove with a ladle in it. When he went to ladle out the treats, (and yes, there were really treats in the pot) the boys father held out his hand and said "wait a minute there buddy" boy did they all have a laugh when he realized they had been tricked.

or if u mean trick as in a prank, then scare the hell out of them, like with motion detection lights that yell when they walk by.

One of those sticks of gum that tastes like a habanero. Maybe some nasty tasting jelly beans, like on Harry Potter, or scare the crap out of them, and hope they drop their bags of goodies for me to enjoy. ;o)

Give out chocolates, but coat the chocolates in brown vinegar to make them taste gross..
