Does anyone remember a film from the 80's featuring a guy in a wheelchair who spys on his neighbours with a telescope from his high rise apartment building. He witness's a murder in a flat opposite, the murderer stabs someone & uses loud opera music to cover the screaming. I think the guy with the telescope had a pretty curly haired nurse to look after him & remember a scene where he watches her get undressed. Have I dreampt this or does it exist! Any help greatly appreciated, thanks

Don't know about the 80's but Rear Window (1954) Alfred Hitchcock, A wheelchair bound photographer spies on his neighbours from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.

It sounds like the plot of Rear Window, (1954) directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly with Raymond (Perry Mason) Burr as the killer. The only diference was he was a photographer and used a camera with a telephoto lens. I'm not sure if the watching her get undressed scene was in that movie.
I don't remember an Australian film with a similar plot. Why don't you rent Rear Window and see if it's the one you remember. Even if it is not it is still a great movie, one of Hitchcock's best.

I don't know about the '80's or it being Australlian, but in '54 Alfred Hitchcock made a movie called Rear Window with the same plot.
