It will probably never be proved, but it is highly suspect that all the news media called Florida for Gore, but ultimately, the state where the Republican candidate's brother was the Governor (influence) turned around and got thrown to the republicans.

The simple answer is no. Al Gore should have learned something from Nixon and conceded. I don't like that SCOTUS had to intervene (remember, there was a unanimous decision that the FL Supreme Court acted unconstitutionally before the 5-4 decision throwing it to Bush).

The simple fact is he got 500+ more votes. It is just one of those things. History is strange.

Check out this book:

Down and Dirty : The Plot to Steal the Presidency by Jake Tapper. It is a good story of what happened and not the crap you saw on the news.

absolutely. I haven't spoken to many people who will admit voting for him - especially the 2nd time. Besides, Florida went awfully early in 04. Weird - for a "blue" state.

In the 2000 elections, he was appointed NOT elected. Think about what happened in the FLA. elections, it was obvious.

Why are people still obsessed with the idea that Bush "stole" the election? Is it really so impossible to believe that people voted for him? Even if they didn't like him, look at what the Democrats chose to put up against him - Al Gore and John Kerry?? Please. Find a decent candidate, and your party can win the election.

that would be as impossible as the 9/11 conspiracy . you see plans such of these would involve so many people making it impossible to keep secret . this is just an exuse for the failure of the democrat party which will be used again on the 7th , and again in 2008
