Sociopaths appear to be extremely successful here in America. Especially here in Florida. They are corporate executives, politicians, etc. How can I lose my conscience. How can I numb myself and bring myself to make unethical (profitable) decisions? Is it even possible to turn yourself into a sociopath or do you have to be born that way?

I am answering this because i was married to a sociopath.
I think a person has the propensity to be one and then choices along the way makes them or breaks them. They really do not have a conscious. They creat their own reality. They believe their own lies. They think the universe revolves around them.
They create a world where they can convince a whole group of people that the sky is green and never was blue.
I couldn't be a sociopath. I have a feeling that you can't be one either. You have too much of a grip of who and what they are.
We all can numb our senses but at a price.

You have to truly want to be. Kill someone very close and important to you, this should work perfectly. Also, eat a bunch of acid and think real hard about how dumb you sound to everyone, keep talking to people. When you come down, you will be absolutely terrified to talk to people. Umm, molest kids, slaughter cute innocent animals, beat your great grandmother, beat your friends great grand mother. Christ man, the list is endless.

it helped a former friend of mine. he became a sociopath practically over night.
