To me, it would be a hot dog in Times square. The producers of Hammits Razor offered to take me, the playwright out to a great dinner, but I am too nervous. For on this brisk October night my play is going to have its opening night right in the heart of the Theater district. NYC. So I am wearing my thick jacket, hearing people outside at the "Tickets" both right there in the Square hearing about my show and saying "Hey, lets go see that." I would want to hug them, but I don't I just smile and sit back and realize that years of work and a life time of dreams is coming true. That moment, before the show starts, before the whole drama of the night. To be able to look past signs for "Wicked" and "Phantom" to see my show being put on. I would, at that moment, say a prayer to my wife, shed a little tear, and say those words. "I have finally made it."

The achievement of a personal goal no matter how big or small that has taken a longer time to achieve than was expected prehaps? Or maybe it's just the sigh of relief for anyone who is trying to keep up with Lost and this is what they cry out when something (at last) ties together!

I thought climbing Mt Everest might be the ultimate challenge but metaphysically it isn't. The only real challenge left (and it's not unrealistic with my physical/mental training for the last 15 years) is to live beyond 130 and possibly see the oceans rising and people going to Mars and beyond to get out of this hell hole unless we fix it up.

When you know you have to drive for about two hours and in this two hours you drink to big cups of coffee and one litre of water. When you then finally arrive and can go to the loo then you have finally made it.
