I drive a 2000 explorer, and my brake light is always on when im in reverse and my fog lights do not work. My emeregency brake is not on so its not that. Some times the brake light gets brighter when the fog light button is pushed in. How much to repair and whats wrong

It is your bendix sprocket. Luckily you can get this fixed for as few as 1,423.74 rubles at a local mechanic.

Are you referring to the Red brake light on your Instrument panel? If so, The brake light could come on if the Master cylinder is low.
The fog Lamps would be a different problem but I would start by checking the fuse for the Fog Lamps.

You have a definite electrical problem, and the best way to remedy this is to take the vehicle to an auto electrical shop. They can diagnose and fix the problem, usually within an hour, and you know it is done correctly. The cost will be around $75. It beats spending your free-time chasing possible issues.
