First you clothes must be clean. The moths will lay their eggs where there is sweat, spilled food and oil in the clothes. Woolens, cotton, rayons, etc are all subject to problems. Once cleaned, store them in closed containers or plastic while you clean the closet and house.

Vacuum well, very, very well including all crevices in the closet. Scrub, clean everything visible and invisible.......inside closet door moldings, etc.

Have the carpets cleaned including closets. Clean the upholstery and drapes.

It would be nice if the landlord would also clean the air vents, hot from furnace as well as the cold air return.

Keep seasonal clothing in closed containers with repellents in the container.

I think a hardware store sells moth balls, buy some & hang them in a cheese cloth bag where ever you have moths. They smell but you can air the materials before use. Hopefully this will help.

Try moth-balls. U can pick up a box at any store (i.e. Wal-Mart).
