you're not just talking about straight ps2 games, you mean ANY game you can play on the ps2, i'm fairly sure

ps1 - FFVII (7) was the first FF on playstation's system. it was because of this game that future RPGs stopped focusing on storylines and puzzles, and focused more on graphics. we can see these effects best in chrono cross
ps1 - FFT (tactics) decided to move from the route of role playing games into more of a strategy format. i feel it did quite well, despite that the translations were rushed, which made reading the game quite difficult. this game had a hidden character named cloud that was from the previous FF title.
ps1 - FFVIII (8) continued the trend of focusing on graphics, but they also did what earlier FFs always did, which made new RPGers upset. every FF has a different system than the ones before, which newcomers to the genre didn't understand why.
ps1 - FFIX (9) kept the trend of redoing the entire battle/magic system, and lots of people say this game "went back to it's roots". by this, they mean that the game isn't set in modern times
ps2 - FFX (10) this is the first ps2 game, and since better memory and reading capabilities were present, they were able to continue the trend of focusing on graphics, and having sidequests added only as after-thoughts.
ps2 - FFX-2 (10-2) was the first sequel to a final fantasy.
ps2 - FFXI (11) should have been called FFO (online) instead of giving it a number, if you ask me. it was strictly online, and therefore, any story it might have would have to be constant, and open-ended

final fantasy characters and magics also appeared in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, both of which are ps2 games.

on 10.31.2006 - ps2 - FFXII (12) is to be released, the last final fantasy for the playstation 2, so far as we can tell

I'm fairly certain the only ps2 releases have been Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X2, and Final Fantasy XI

Umm...the first FF game for the PS2, that would be FFX. A really great game, yes, in fact, one of the best games for the PS2, love the storyline, love the music, yes. FYI, FF12 is coming in Halloween! It will be a great game to your collection.
