Hedonic scale is a rating scale method used in sensory evaluation. Here's an example:
7 - like very much
6 - like moderately
5 - like sligthly
4 - neither like nor dislike
3 - dislike slightly
2 - dislike moderately
1 - dislike very much
You use the above's scale to rate the food samples in terms of sensory attributes: taste, color, aroma, flavor, etc.
