I supppose theres a lot to consider hun! First and foremost are you both available? Then if so why not a date whats the worst that can happen? Lifes so short. If hes a good man who seems to have his poop in a group and you feel there might be something there I say go for it! As for all these people are saying "no way tell him forget it," I wouldnt be so quick to dismiss him hun. God brought him back into your life for a reason what that reason may be I couldnt say for sure, but I defintley think this issue warrants your time!

I would say, WAKE UP, it's 23 years later and people change. He means that he loved you very much then and misses what you had. He means he hasn't moved very far on and that no one else he has been with were as great as you! (nice compliment by the way) He loves the you then. He doesn't know the you now. Go slow, if both of you are single. It may be that he is the same old Joe and youre the new Debbie. So.....be careful, but be flattered. And it HAS happened to me. We are still friends, but it will never be high school again. Good luck. Nana

If we were both single, I'd go for it. Otherwise, I'd tell him "That's very sweet, but I'm a married woman and you'll just have to forget about me." I'd be flattered, but at the same time, he may just be suffering from either "the grass is greener syndrome", or "what if syndrome". Not worth ruining a good marriage over, for either of you.

i still have a place in my heart for a girl that i dated 18 yrs ago . we still have a thing for each other . we still talk but we don't act on it because we are both married to others. if we both became single i am sure we would give it another try. but till then we just remain friends.

When it happened to me I told him that I was not interested in him. I could only see a friend at the time and nothing else. However, since then we have not remained friends.~

Say thank you. Go for coffee or cokes, find out if there is anything to pursue. Be friends or tell him to take a hike. Ask him to explain himself and what is different now? Do you like HIM?

Same thing happened to me. I didn't really tell the guy anything, but I find it so unattractive that someone still has a highschool crush after all those years. I grew up when I graduated. Why didn't he?

I had this happen, but the genders are reversed! It was kind of awkward since my wife was with me.
