Sure it is. The terrorists want nothing more than to see the Democrats back in power. Problem is, what can the Democrats do, even if they do regain power? America still cannot leave Iraq until the Iraqi government is self-sufficient. If the legitimate Iraqi government does collapse, it is only a matter of time before we have to fight on our own soil. It won't be open warfare against uniformed military forces, but the same type of criminal devastation that we are seeing now in Iraq.

What would you do if 120 000 heavily armed Mexicans or Chinese or Russians or aliens from outer space landed in your city, bombed you from the air, and took over your cities? The violence has been there all along. The people of Iraq have always and will always be pis*ed off that their country has been invaded. Who can blame them? Anyone with an ounce of compassion does not need to be 'swayed'...it is blatantly obvious that death and destruction has been imposed under the banner of 'democracy'.

The increased violence in Iraq...I assume you are talking about the fact that this has been "the deadliest month in Iraq this year"? I think it is very naive, vain and conceited to think that the motives of terrorists and insurgents around the world revolves around our election day.

YES!!!
Both the insurgents and terrorists are supporting the Democrat take over of Congress.
They think the US will then surrender.
It will certainly make their lives better and make it easier to accomplish their goals.

Absolutely, happens every election cycle. I'm surprised there haven't been ads on Al-Jazeera TV supporting the cut-and-runners (then again, maybe they have been).

No, it's simply the Iraqis telling us to get the heck out of their country. They don't want us there and we shouldn't be there.
