In my entire career as an Office Administrator I never used any algebra. In all of my sales jobs, clerical work, part time work & work at home jobs, I never used algebra & have gotten along fine without it.
But, it's still a class that has be studied in school and passed. That's the rules. You may need algebra in your future career, you just never know.'

It is used in engineering/industrial applications quite a bit. Algebra tends to be a foundation for Geometry and the two together are used for determining and verifying blueprint dimensions.

There are many professions where people use algebra on a daily basis, which range from economics, to law to engineering.
There are also a number of things that do not require algebra, like flipping burgers, running a cash register, bagging groceries.
