Hello everyone...I'm completely aware that cervical mucus, basal body temp., mid-cycle stuff are all signs. Is it possible to spot as well around ovulation?

Spotting around the time of ovulation is more common than you think. It's usually very slight spotting, not at all like a period, and is caused by the rupturing of the follicle the egg is encapsulated in. Sometimes this results in a little discomfort (known as ovulation pain, or mittelschmerz) and occasionally in bleeding.

There's nothing wrong with you if you spot around ovulation time, and it's not a cause for concern. Likewise, most women DON'T spot around that time, so a lack of spotting shouldn't concern you either. If you do spot around that time, just be glad that you have yet another fertility sign to help you target your intercourse for conception!

Good luck on your journey!

I have read in some cases women have reported a spot or two of blood on the toilet paper. Not to the point where a panti-liner was needed.
*good luck*

Not usually, there may be a little discomfort like slight cramping.
