I miscarried this feb, and ended up finding out i was pregnant again in April, the whole pregnancy has been difficult painful, and cause for concern. Is it true that if you get pregnant close to a miscarraige or birth your chances of pre-term labor are a lot greater?Im 32 weeks and getting more and more nervous with low pelvic pains that he is getting ready to come (he has been in position, head way down) since 27 weeks, and my 3 year old was born at 37 weeks not pre-term but early. Should I be nervous does anyone know if a miscarraige puts me at risk with pre-term labor?

I'm pregnant after having a second trimester miscarriage and my doctor said that it increases my chances for a repeat miscarriage or preterm delivery by about 10%. He said that may not sound like much, but in pregnancy it's a huge number. He said the best thing to do is the further along you get the easier you take it. Meaning, when I reach your stage I won't be allowed to life my daughters anymore, that will be the hardest part. You can't control when your baby comes, but you can control how you take care of yourself until then. Just take it easy, prop your feet up as much as possible and no lifting or moving heavy things, no walking long distances. Trust me, I get with having kids you're not always able to relax, but do the best you can. My youngest daughter was born at 29 weeks and she'll be three on Thanksgiving and she's awesome! So even if your son makes an early appearance, it's not the end of the world. Good luck and like I said, just take it as easy as you can.

I think you will be fine. Just know that its in God's hands and if you do go into pre-term labor then there is so much the hospitals can do to help your little one. I am 35 weeks and got preggo after only 3 months of my first and my doctor doesnt seemed concerned at all.
