Life can be death and death can be life, without death there can be no life and no life without death.
The difference is as thin as thread.

Life and Death are an intrinsic balance of all things, for without one you can not have the other. If everything lived, every seed sprouted, every animal always lived, the world would end up in a mass of pain and hunger, for if nothing died, you could not kill the plants, animals, ANYTHING how would you expect to survive, you could not. Life if constantly renewing itself, death is allowing life to continue by allowing there to be space for life to continue, through death. Kinda weird, but both are necessary, like two sides of the same coin, even something as thin as a sheet of paper has two sides.

The dictionary definition: Life = that quality which distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body or inanimate matter. Death = the end of that quality. If you believe, through faith, as there is no proof, in life after life, then there will be qualities about your consciousness "there" and then that distinguish you from what you were when "alive".

Is there a difference?
I mean, the answer would depend on what happens when we die.
Is it just another level of life? I believe it is. How, or in what way, I'll let you know.
The answer may be different for me than it is for you, or the next person, so you have to decide for YOURSELF, what you believe happens when you die.
Honestly, it will very much depend on what you feel deep down inside is the truth.
Good Luck!

Life is from the time of conception to just before you stop breathing permanently
Death is when you have stopped breathing permanently it's a definite permanent thing.

Please rethink this question. We don't really even know what life is and certainly don't know what death is. So who could possibly tell you the difference except in very superficial terms. This question as it stands can only be answered by silence. So my answer is..............
