why has it not been on this season it just left you hanging and never came back???/

It's coming back. It was originally going to premiere a couple of weeks ago, but instead of playing Crossing Jordan NBC has that stupid 1 vs 100 show in it's place. So don't watch it. The sooner this show dies, the sooner they will put Crossing Jordan back on.
If you are really desperate for a little new Crossing Jordan I read this on Ask Ausiello (TV guide) today.
Question: Any idea what is happening with Crossing Jordan?— Scott
Ausiello: No clue. NBC pulled it off its Friday sked and is only saying it could return as early as January. As a small consolation, the Nov. 17 episode of Las Vegas will feature another crossover from Jordan and Woody. And here's another mini-scooplet: Jordan is casting a new recurring role. The character is described as a sexy, funny, and slightly cocky cop in his mid-twenties to early thirties. Is it just me, or does that role have my name written all over it?
So on Nov 17th we can watch Jordan and Woody on Las Vegas (I don't normally watch this show, but I will sometimes if there is a cross-over).
I hope this helps. I wish NBC would quit moving the show around and changing premiere dates, etc...I really like this show.

Maybe it had low ratings and probably isn't going to come on this season. But I could be wrong.
