It never fails, the first game is ALWAYS Toronto vs. anybody. Even when it's played out west (ie. Vancouver) which is RARELY. And when it IS broadcast from out west, they bump the start time from 7:30pm Vancouver time to 4:30 Vancouver time.

Dam right, They should show a Canucks Game first at 6pm and if those Easterners are still up, spoonfeed them a Edmonton Game. And hopefully the opposing team is from the eastern US so its in their division.

First, the CBC has become the unofficial Maple Leafs broadcaster. 28 Maple Leaf games will be broadcasted on HNIC this year alone. The other 2 eastern time zone teams get a grand total of only 35 games on HNIC (and a lot of those are regional, not national). The west is a little more balanced, with Calgary 17, Edmonton 15 and Vancouver 14 over the year.

CBC has become too Toronto centric and has peeved off the rest of Canada. Out West, we have to deal with starting games at 8:00 pm on Saturday, as we can't change the start time of Toronto games.

CBC will lose the next contract with the NHL for Saturday night games, and with that we will see more fair and regional coverage for the rest of Canada. Yes, Toronto is the largest city but we could really care less about the Maple Leafs.

One last thing....GO FLAMES GO!!

They do different broadcasts. Leafs for the Toronto region, Sens for Ottawa region, and Habs for Montreal region. And that Vancouver/west coast statement is untrue. I remember one Saturday Leafs game where they played at 10:30pm many, many years ago.

Ever heard of Time Zones?????? A HNIC double header is always going to have an east team first because guess what it starts first! Would you rather they taped the game and played it back for you at a more convenient time?

Guess what else........... the second game of the double header ends later in the east than in the west! WOW hey

1. CBC is run by jackasses.
2. The CBC commentators are so old and incompetent that they can only really do Leafs games and lick Mats Sundin's butt in the same tired fashion every week.
3. To make everyone hate Toronto more than they already do.

i might incredibly see Lakers vs Nuggets, or perhaps Rockets, even nevertheless they are without Yao, going against Ariza is a few thing i would not techniques seeing. Lakers vs Nuggets, or Lakers vs Spurs with their new addition of Richard Jefferson may well be the terrific matchups. Mavs are out now. The Celtics and Magic is a great matchup, by way of fact Cavs and Magic do not tournament up nicely, i think of that that's the terrific matchup in the East it rather is coming.

yes they do say HNIC broadcasts Leafs, Habs and Sens but it never is its always the Leafs on HNIC never the Habs or Sens if you want to watch the Habs we have it on the french channel which are not televising anymore but they do game on RDS(TSN). this will change in a few years cause allot of hockey fans in Canada are complaining about the Leafs always on CBC on HNIC and there are allot of fans in Ontario and other parts of this country are fans of other teams like the Habs, Sens, Flames, Canucks and Oilers and you get to only see the Leafs. and its between the Lames, Oilers and Canucks for the double header.the Leafs have been losing for 40 years and that's what they put on HNIC and that's full of ****.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I think it's because the CBC likes to kiss Toronto's *** (city) because that's supposedly where all the rich people live. Personally I'd like to see the CBC broadcast each Canadian team alternately, they are all entertaining. And Toronto is NOT Canada's team, maybe they were 40 years ago.

HNIC is from Toronto, but they broadcast Habs, Sens games as the first game depending on where you live.....

I live in Buffalo and never miss HNIC---it's like my mother country or something as I was born and raised on it.
