Well, you have the first number X,
the number after that, X + 1,
and the number after that X+2
So,
X + (x+1) + (X +2)=36
3x + 3 = 36
3x = 33
x = 11
So, the first number is 11, the second is (11 +1) 12 and the third is (11 + 2) 13
So 11, 12 and 13

x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 36
x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 36
3x + 3 = 36
3(x + 1) = 36
x + 1 = 12
x = 11
The numbers are 11, 12, and 13

11, 12, and 13
you set up an equation:
(x)+(x+1)+(x+2)=36
(x+x+x)+(1+2)=36
(3x)+(3)=36
(3x)+(3)-(3)=36-(3)
(3x)=33
(3x)/3=33/3
x=11
y=(x+1)=(11+1)=12
z=(x+2)=(11+2)=13
Check:
(x)+(y)+(z)=36
(11)+(12)+(13)=36
36=36
The answers check!!!
