Call AL-ANON. That's not AA, it is specifically for people like you. If it's not alcohol, they can direct you to the corresponding sister group. Really good information, really good support.

First get over being bitter, the last thing she needs is to feel even more depressed, just be there try to open her up and if she is really ready to give up her addiction she will. You should read into things about being addicted to something so that you can have a perspective on what she is going through. She will never be the way she use to be with out a little help from you

GOOD LUCK

Check out your yellow pages and look for the section on community services. You should be able to find groups that can help you with intervention for an addiction, or just counseling. They can give you some good ideas. But anytime you are dealing with a full blown addiction, seek pro help.

Have you ever seen the show Intervention on A&E? It is on Sunday nights. It is sooo good. YOu can get her help. Show her you love her and you want her to help herself before it kills her. YOu also don't deserve to be trapped in that situation. It isn't fair. Good Luck.

You can only be there for her - you can't really help her - She has to help herself and want to help herself. Find Al-anon its for addicts family and friends they can give you some insight as to how to help yourself and what you can do to be supportive of her.
I wish you all the best its the hardest thing you are probably going to experience. God Bless!

Wow, did she have another room added to her house, if so it must look really bad for you to have to help her get over it. Let us know how it goes.
