Nope won't happen. The polls will put the loser down low enough to ensure a different game rather than a rematch of the one just played.

No. The loser will drop down far enough that they won't get a chance again. It's also NOT going to be Texas. Although, if it was, Ohio State could pretty much be handed the trophy. It will probably be West Virginia if they win Thursday against Louisville. If they don't, then either Louisville or Florida if they win out. Notre Dame has about 1% chance of getting in the title game right now. Even if the OSU-Michigan game is 28-27, you can't really deny an undefeated WVU or Louisville team.
Ohio State 35
Michigan 17

No, because they play against each other the last game of the season. The loser will drop in the polls far enough where they won't get a national championship shot. Another reason why is that the NCAA will lose a ton of TV ratings because no one wants to see the same game played back to back. They can build the hype and the ratings with 2 teams that haven't played each other alot better than if 2 teams have recently played.

No, but I do think it comes down to Ohio St and a bunch of 1 loss teams. If the BCS were logical, it would come down to two possible teams against Ohio St in the National Championship Game.
Michigan would be one of the logical choices. But there 1 loss came very late in the year and I don't think the pollsters will keep Michigan ranked that high and will hurt their BCS ranking. I also don't think the pollsters will want to see 2 teams from the same conference.
That leaves only one logical choice. The one team in the country whose only loss is also to the #1 team in the country.

No, because even though they are the two best teams in college football the team that loses the Big 10 game would drop too far in the BCS poll to play in the championship game. If the Big 10 matchup was a couple of weeks earlier then I would say there was a good chance they would play again.

well, the way Michigan has been playing, they will not likely play in the National Championship game because they have squeaking passed their opponents. my best bet is that Ohio State will play W. Virginia. Michigan has played non-ranking teams and since they are ranked #2, the Michigan fans are nervous. of all the teams that has played Ohio State, only 3 teams has scored more then 7 points. i just can't wait until the Michigan/Ohio State game because i know there will be alot of Michigan fans there at the shoe, and when they are getting their @$$es kicked, we will see the Michigan fans looking all bummed.
Who is with me? let me hear from you Ohio State fans and tell me the outcome of the "BIG" game

No, I think another undefeated team, like West Virginia will play the winner of that game. I think that is the way it should be. If you lose a game, you are out of the national title race. If OSU beats Michigan, then loses to them in the title game, then who is #1? If a team goes undefeated, they have more of a right to the title game then a 1 loss team, even if the loss is to the #1 team.

No way, that would be terrible for national TV ratings for FOX, having two teams from the same region play in the title game.
The BCS would fool around with its final poll numbers if those two teams legitimately finished 1 and 2 in its final poll.

I don't think so. The thing is you can not lose late and plan on playing in the national championship. If you are going to lose a game, it has to happen early in the season.

I don't think so unless Louisville and West Virginia both lose a game and Texas loses another as well because don't forget that Texas only has one loss to the Buckeyes which was in the 2nd week of the season
