the saying "one way to solve a problem is to ask the people who are closest to it and how they would solve it"
I am writing an essay about this saying and how could this method be improved?

asking the people involved would let you hear what each person would like to be the end result-then instead of figuring out the problem you are figuring out a compromise.

I'm not sure this method could be improved at all. If you want an answer you go directly to the source and that's what this statement seems to be saying. I suppose you might improve the "problem" if you, yourself, where the one experiencing it and were the one closest to it. Godloveya.
