Yes. People lie all the time where I work, only to get their police reports back and find out they do have an offense. It's much easier if you're just honest from the start. Some places may overlook a DUI

More correctly, if your potential employer has the ability to look up your NCIC (criminal record) and does, then finds that you lied on the application, you will be fired without recourse. Not all employers have the foresight or resources to look up your NCIC. I'd say that if this is a small time local operation, you'd probably get away with lying. Most large corporations, though, routinely run NCIC and you'd most likely get caught.

i would answer yes, then just explain that it was a DUI. a lot of times they are looking for something more serious, like if you were in prison for theft or something like that. but, just to be on the safe side, answer yes.
