This is a stupid question. Oprah Winfrey is black because GOD wanted her to be black. GOD decides what sex and race a person is going to be.

She traced her ancestors all the way back to the beginning(they can do that you know--well probably not)and they all came from the Ivory Coast(which I am sure you know is on the East coast of Africa.) She was very much surprised to learn there were no other racial groups in her family background...all Africans.. That would be why she is black.

first of all thats the most stupidest question i have ever seen asked to someone else sec why is only cuz thats the way god made her god in his mind wanted to make everyone vary special and so he did some he made black some white some mexican and others but why he did what he did no one will ever know. so i hope i answered your question perfectly.. cuz if not than your the one thats stupid..

Because her skin absorbs most lightwaves and bounces very little back. Therefore, she looks black to our "visible" standards...
However, under infrared cameras, she looks a lot like everyone else...

what do you mean why is she black because her parents, grandparents, and all they way back to the start of her family people in her family were black . also your not supposed to be going around asking why are people black or why are people white.
