i know its part of the character, but do they explain why in any of the episodes?

same thing to why cartman has to be the fat one. i guess cause he's the character that says the nasty things that can't be said on tv so he gets muffled in but still can say those things. they show how he looks like and his real voice in the episode of the jeffersons. it's the michael jackson making fun of episode.

I think he is just cold. It's is Colorado and there is snow everywhere. Also, he gets away with saying some really nasty things without getting in trouble. He does take it off from time to time. For example he saved Blanket by pretending to be him in the Michael Jackson episode, so we know that he can take it off he just doesn't want to.

He's poor and can't afford a new jacket so that's why it's all small and you can't hear him. On one episode it showed them when they were in Kindergarten and he was wearing the same hoodie.

No, but since the show IS set in Colorado, I'm pretty sure it's because of how cold it gets in the winter time.

no-but it is a white bread mountain town-I'm sure it gets cold. I know I saw one episode where the kids had there hats off though

its the hood on his jacket.its pretty cold and snowy in colorado.also,kennys poor and teased because of that,so hes a little shy.he can hide behind his hood.

because it adds mystery. most of the time you cant tell what he is saying. It just wouldnt be the same.....
