If I plug my Ipod into the A/C adaptor, it works fine, but when I plug it into the USB port on the computer, it wont even power on. It won't power on at all if not plugged up to wall. Do I need a new battery? Or is it something more serious? Anyone else have this problem?

I have tried resetting, doesn't work. I have also made sure my USB ports aren't set up to conserve power. any other ideas?

It could need a high powered usb port on the computer or the port itself is faulty, check this link out http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60941

try reseting it: toggle the hold switch, then hold down the center button and the play/pause button for like 10 seconds
