Although there are commercial products that claims to get rid of razor burns, the best way is by shaving properly. Shave in the direction of hair growth not across it. Also, it's best to shave after shower or taking a bath as the hair tends to be softer and can be removed easily. Try applying moisturizing lotion first before shaving. If you still have razor burn, you can apply hydrocortisone ointment over the area only of the burn. Admittedly, though, hydrocortisone is not preferably used for a long-time as thins the skin. For long-term, try applying Benzashave shaving cream. I've also heard of a TendSkin product which could work though I haven't tried it myself.

Best way is to try to prevent it in the first place.
But I have found that a few minutes in the tanning bed does WONDERS...
Now for preventative measures, consider the following:
When you shave, of course use conditioner or lotion ( I use baby oil)
After shaving, cool the skin down, use an ice pack or a cold can of soda or something cold as a compress.
Use astringent applied with a cotton ball.
and finally, put anitperspirant on the shaved area. It works.
ps.... If you get laser hair removal, the problem will be elimitated forever :)

Coochy Cream works grea! You can get it through the link below. It's a shave cream and then you can use the Coochy Mist so your clothes don't irratate the areas you shave. I always use the stuff and I have many friends that use it, it is awesome. You can use it for your underarms, bikinni area and legs.
