I am 19 weeks along and for the last week every time I sneeze I leak a little bit. I have never had this problem before, and its really embarrassing. Is this normal? I have been doing those kegel excercises for a while, and they dont seem to be helping.

yes its normal and will get worse! your baby is now starting to push against your bladder causing you to have no control of when or where you go to the bathroom.

I am in my 17th week and this has recently started happening to me too... and i have also been going the kegel excercises! It's rather embarrassing i know but i just think of it as another one of those little quirks that comes along with being pregnant. I have invested in some panty liners and haven't given up on the kegel excercises.... i'm convinced they will work eventually! lol.

Good luck to you and baby!

girlfriend it is very normal. just consider this, you will leak if you laugh to hard, if u sneeze, if you cough. it is the joy of being preggers. it comes from the baby putting pressure on your bladder. girl the fun has only begun!!!! those exercises that yo are doing are good to help your muscle get into practice to have the baby. peeing on yourself is a whole different thing. if you are too embarrassed where a panty liner it will help.

Unfortunately it is normal. All of your insides are being pushed up, down, back and around. It is going to get worse as you and your baby get bigger. Just keep doing the kegels so that it does not get too too bad.

Yes it's completely normal. Just wait until your bigger. It just gets more embarrassing. Try wearing poise pads or something like that. They're especially for urine. But dont worry. It's completely normal. The baby is just pressing against the bladder.

Yep - I am afraid its normal.

I was mortified when I was first pregnant and I actually wet the bed one night - I was consoled by an older female friend who had had several children that that too is normal. It only happened the once and only with my first pregnancy.

The baby and your ever enlarging uterus sits right on your bladder causing pressure - that's what causes the problems.

Keep going with the exercises - you will be glad later.

I am positive this is normal. You may want to wear a sanitary napkin just to avoid the wetness while you're away from home. What else can you do? I realize that may be embarassing, but you're gonna get a giggle out of it when you are holding your little one in your arms.

Bless you and the little one and good luck to you! :)

unfortunately this is normal. as your pregnancy becomes more advanced, this will only worsen. this is due to the muscles relaxing and getting ready to give birth. keep doing the kegel exercises. they will really make the difference after the delivery.

Sounds normal to me! When you sneeze those muscles down there react, and on top of it there's a lil baby growing who's starting to push on your bladder. Put the two together and there ya go!
