I have no experience whatsoever, but would like to find out more and "train" to drive a train!

You have to be a "conductor" (person who hooks up the trains, etc) before you can be an "engineer" (person who drives the trains).

Start off by buying a model train set and work your way up from there

It's easy just get the key turn it on and turn the handle - you don't even have to steer. You will probably find one in your local railway station.

Start to refer to the job as "engineer" or the union won't let you in.
