You CAN feel your own cervix to check it. LOTS of women do it. It just requires being comfortable with your own body and knowing what you're feeling for. Wash your hands and have well trimmed nails so you don't hurt yourself.
When you are fertile, your cervix will be "SHOW" which means -
Soft
High
Open
Wet
Soft - Normally your cervix feels like the end of your nose, kind of firm. But when you are ovulating it will feel softer, more like your cheek.
High - This is a relative thing.....you have to be checking on a regular basis. You'll notice that, when you are fertile, your cervix will be higher up and harder to reach.
Open - There is an opening in the middle of your cervix called the os. Most of the time the os will feel like a little dimple in the middle. When you are ovulating, you'll feel that it is more open, more like a small hole.
Wet - Fertile cervical mucous is often refered to as "egg white cervical mucous." When you're ovulating, you'll have a lot of CM and it will be stretchy like the consistency of egg whites.
Hope this helps!

The question to your answer is yes, when you are the most fertile your cervical mucous looks like egg white and stretch between both fingers from 1-5 inches. If it is white and peaks you are not there yet. You will see it become more abundant as the days pass.
Yes your cervix feels kind of point and you can actually feel where the opening is. When you have the egg white CM you can feel the opening in your cervix more, this is to allow the sperm into your cervix into the uterus.
This is a great way to to check for ovulation however, make sure your hands are clean and nails are cut, you dont want an infection or an injury.
Sperm can live in your body in fertile conditions for up to 72 hours. As soon as you get the EWCM, you need to have intercourse. Do not get up for 30 minutes after he ejaculates in you. Put a pillow under your bottom to help gravity with the semen. Good luck and God Bless.

You actually can feel your cervix - when it is low (more easily reachable). It's not 'pointy' but when you can feel it easily, it is fairly hard.
As for the CM, it sounds like it is a couple of days before your ovulation - which can possibly be fertile. But stretchy/egg white texture is the most fertile.

That's right, all of it.
But keep in mind that the cervical mucus method is not 100% safe and that sperm survives 3 days or more in your vagina.
In other words, once you notice that you're fertile, it might be already too late. Do use condoms at least until you know your period by heart.
