hmm this is a difficult one, i would like this as an optional power!! sometimes i would love to hear what people are thinking and it would help greatly in my job as most the people i speak to are lying to save their backsides, however, i am also quite a sensitive person so i think in my personal life i would pass, the only thing it would be good for is seeing what presents people want!!!

No I get sick of listening to people as it is.
There is an episode where Buffy (the Vampire Slayer) hears everyone's thoughts. The noise is so deafening that she comes close to going to a mental hospital.

I certainly would, but I would also like the option of being able to phase out what I don't need to hear, with the intent of allowing those I'm listening to their privacy more than anything else.

You would go completely crazy. I think there's a movie with the same scenario.
Basically people are liars, either for bad reasons or to protect themselves or others. It is part of human nature. We would be fighting in the streets if we knew what each other were really thinking!!

The people I hang around with are loony so I defenitly wouldn't like to be inside their heads.
